Hatria opens with a really compelling and thick rose-oud tango that surely surprises with a new interpretation of both these ingredients. It’s deep and elegant, but has also a salty-herbal quality which definitely brings the blend closer to a Mediterreanean inspiration.

The “caramel” note provides just a sort of dark, warm, slightly sticky thickness that perfectly gives “weight” to the composition. Refined but with a nice “rural” feel. It is dedicated to women and characters of a certain temper, to be worn as status and to tell things nobody knows about you yet.

Hatria is the ancient name of Atri, the town where our laboratory was once located. It is said that Mare Adriatico –the Adriatic Sea– was named after the ancient Hatria Dukedom, once a powerful seaward village.

The story it pictures is the ideal country lady who goes to the village dressed up for a town festival, wearing also a naive and irresistible carnality.

"The duchy of Hatria is the ancient name of the setting that inspires this fragrance. We are in a village hidden among the hills of central Italy, and this story features a beautiful woman, with thick, dark hair, prominent curves, and the greatest sensuality. But within her lies a rural woman, with rough manners that place her among the common folk. She possesses an undeniable and strong presence; kindness and love, femininity and spirituality radiate from her being. The fragrance it inspires is a blend that begins with the deep presence of clove and saffron, intertwined with the sweetness of caramel and rose, along with salty herbs that evoke the Adriatic Sea, which looms and permeates Hatria.

Each and every single of our perfumes is a unique numbered piece featuring a certificate which states its belonging to a specific production batch, date and bottle number. All boxes and bottles are hand-packed individually, to guarantee their genuine artisanal excellence.

The artisan manufacturing doesn’t stop with creation of the perfumes; all components of the final product are handmade: caps are machined and finished manually, labels are applied individually, boxes are created, lined and decorated one by one.
